Meet and Greet Your Teammates

1. Sign in to the NetGenEd Ning
2. Find your teammates
  • Hover over "Collaborate"
  • Click "Members"
  • Use the search box
3. Type a greeting on each team member's page (add a comment to their wall)
4. Respond to any comments that have been left on your page!

  1. Is there a clear dividing line between who you are online and elsewhere?

  4. Who are we in this space where the online world is not something distinctly separate?

Introduction to Diigo - Social Bookmarking


Get Started with Diigo
1. Sign In to Diigo.com
  • User Name is your GLC email address
  • Password is GLC123
2. Add the bookmarklet to your browser
  • Click "Tools" (top right)
  • Click "Diigolet"
  • Drag the button to your Bookmarks Toolbar
3. Make sure your Diigolet is working
  • Go back to the Diigo.com home page
  • Click the Diigolet button in your toolbar
  • Check that there is now a yellow sticky note in the top left corner

Learn How to Highlight and Add Comments in Diigo
1. Go to the NetGenEd Group
2. Click on the tag for your technology trend
  • mobile_apps
  • tablet_computing
  • game_based_lng
  • learning_analytics
  • gesture_based_computing
  • internet_of_things
3. Choose one of the articles/websites on the list
4. Click on the title of the article/website to open it
5. Click the Diigolet
6. Read the article, see what's been highlighted, and read the comments on the sticky notes
7. Add a thoughtful response to one of the comments or add a new sticky note with a comment of your own
8. Be sure the NetGenEd Project group is selected before you click "Post"
